Microsoft and Ingram Micro deliver new SaaS program to VARs
Software as a Service got another boost with a new program from Ingram Micro and Microsoft this week, to extend Microsoft's Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA) to all of Ingram's solution providers. under the SPLA, service providers can offer Microsoft products on a hosted basis. The service provider's customer pay sa monthly fee, but does not have to purchase individual product licenses.
The deal makes for an easy sell, especially to the SMB market, which is more likely to react to the recession by putting off major purchases that require upfront capital.
the SPLA deal is now available to all of Ingram's Microsoft-certified partners in the US and Canada.
