Off to the Minneapolis ITEC Show
Tomorrow I speak at the Minneapolis ITEC show, so if you're in the area, please come by and say hello. But get there early (8:45am) for the light breakfast so you can see me give the keynote speech about how Technology Is Broken: How to Fix IT in Your Business.
Stick around for the free lunch. Well, it's not quite free, because you have to listen to me again. At lunch I'm doing a new humorous talk on Explaining Geeks to Humans and the Inverse. Don't tell anyone, but I'm trying to convince IT and business people to connect and communicate, but I'm hiding that lesson under technology-specific jokes.
On Thursday, I'm doing a shortened version of our Laptop
Safety Seminar. My goal? Teach you how to keep your laptop safe, your data safer, and your reputation spotless. Since the majority of data leaks happen because of a lost laptop or other electronic device, losing your laptop no longer just means you're stupid. It may
mean you and your company are legally liable for a whole bunch of unpleasantness.
I've never been to Minneapolis before, and I'm looking forward to my visit. If you're in the area Wednesday or Thursday, please come say hello.
